Acoustical environment, criteria and design
Paper shows that achievement of satisfactory acoustic environment requires attention to detail throughout entire building design and construction process; this becomes increasingly critical through application of lighter weight and prefabricated construction techniques; problems can be solved if designers of buildings realize that acoustics, just as lighting, ventilation, and structure, is basic environmental consideration that must be taken into account at very start of design.
