Design and construction of five footbridges similar in design and appearance that were erected near Perth, Australia are described; each bridge is made of two continuous spans of prestressed concrete with helical access ramps in reinforced concrete; dynamic behavior of slender main spans is considered and chart presented for rapid calculation of natural frequencies of simple beams; results of load test on one of footbridges is also recorded.
