Web of new Baroni beam is formed by two concave 18 mm thick, type 17-7 stainless steel plates placed back-to-back; longitudinal edges of plates are welded to C-shaped channels and stiffened at top and bottom by low-alloy trapeze-shaped transversal diaphragms; results of fatigue test and static destruction test are presented.
