Static and dynamic tests of aluminum connections
Experiments are described which evaluate compatibility of high-strength aluminum connections with parent members in aluminum deckhouses; deckhouse was designed to withstand load of 10 psi which is equivalent to 974 lb/linear in. on lateral surface of columns tested; types of aluminum members, each with different types of connections, that were subjected to uniformly distributed static and dynamic loadings included T-shaped, L-shaped and three beam-columns of different depths; total of 19 static and 36 dynamic tests were performed.
