Construction of 7 mi. of highway between Atlantic City and Tuckerton; dikes, 7 ft. wide at base and 3 ft. at top, are built of sod cut from strip of meadow between banks and hydraulic fill is pumped in; meadows cannot support power equipment, and all work must be performed by hand; electric dredge pumps fill through 12-in. pipe line; tractor with hydraulically controlled bulldozer and scraper, grades hydraulic sand fill.
