Effect of suspension in bolting bedded mine roof
Tests of mine-roof models in centrifuge show that suspension effect due to bolting horizontally bedded mine roof with frictionless surfaces of contact between beds depends principally on number of bolted beds and their relative flexural rigidities, provided that sufficient bolt tension is exerted to prevent strata separations at bolt locations; general principles of behavior of bolted roof beds are explained by approximate theory.
