Pair of 3-bedroom, semi-detached permanent houses built in under 3 weeks at Stratford-upon-Avon, England, features movable internal partition walls, internal plumbing system and use of plastic rainwater fittings; only part to be made on site is 14 ton 7-in. thick concrete casting party wall and waterproof concrete floor; 6 factory-made components comprise first floor of each house and when these, and staircase unit, have been craned into position, slightly pitched roof units, each of marine 3-ply in-stressed triangular box formation, are dropped into place.
