Protracted corrosion resistance of Kh18N10T steel due to alternate wetting and drying
Corrosion cracks originate and develop in evaporation zone of steam generators; methods were developed for testing protracted corrosion resistance of austenitic stainless steels in zone of alternate wetting and drying at temperatures up to 350 C and pressures up to 10 atm; it was established that conditional limit of protracted corrosion resistance of Kh18N10T steel amounts to 25 kg/sq mm.
