Soil surface compaction with foam-type explosive
Proposed new method for soil surface compaction based on principle of pressure waves as source of energy is described; method, which was termed foamed propellant method for soil compaction, has formulation containing hydrazine, ammonium perchlorate, and foaming agent, hydrolized protein base foam liquid; results of using foamed propellant system to compact loose cohesionless soils are presented and evaluated; this includes preliminary investigation of influence of both surface area and multiple detonation on compaction control parameters; laboratory blast pressure measurements are also examined and presented.
