Group of theoretical equations were derived that describe flow from fresh-water canal, bounded on both sides by impervious side walls, into originally saline-saturated medium; equations describe relationships between geometry of canal, characteristics of solids and fluids, depth of embedment of impervious side walls, and geometry of salt water-fresh water interface.
