Method for determining fire exposure ratings
Fire intensity from source of radiation is studied; calculation of separation distance based on assumptions made for exposure ratings; calculation of configuration factor for radiation and of minimum separation distance between two properties to reach heat radiating level so that pilot ignition is possible; nomographs for computing separation are given for buildings with plain glass windows or wood sash and with wired glass windows in steel sash.
