Electrification of Hanover-Hamburg section of German Federal Railroad
136 km line runs over north German heathland, where unstable soil caused many problems in laying mast foundations; quarter of subfoundations were rammed, with steel pylons in form of Peiner Profile PSO 30, Larssen sheet piles or MV piles; Hamburg-Harburg substation and coupling station at Lueneberg had no specific problems; erecting contact line system, particularly in 30 km section between Harburg and Eidelstedt, was unusual program.
