Foundation experiences in N.S.W.Dams
At Keepit Dam, New South Wales, concrete gravity dam of moderate height and poor foundation was investigated by core drilling and comprehensive system of blanket and curtain grouting was adopted; earth dam was provided on one abutment because of depth and cost of foundations and wall for concrete dam; drainage and uplift problems are described; foundations of two earth dams, Glenbawn and Burrendong, with special treatment of weak sections; grouting layout and methods.
