Application of Moran's theory of dams to ord river project, western Australia
Modifications are made to Moran's theory of dams so that model may more closely represent situation and conditions prevailing at Ord River dam site; two criteria based on mean state of dam and time of ` first emptiness' are discussed for various dam sizes and associated annual releases; decision for resulting `best' dam is arrived at purely on basis of these probabilistic criteria; modifications made to Moran's theory include evaporation allowance being made at each stage of stochastic process.
