Boron in low carbon steel for deep drawing
Addition of boron (not less than 0.004%) to low carbon semi-killed aluminum-deoxidized steel, softens and improves its ductile and drawing properties in hot rolled and cold rolled states; to suppress aging in such steel, it is essential to add not less than 0.007% B which ensures relatively nonaging cold rolled sheets possessing very good drawing properties.
