Stabilization pond as nitrate reducing reactor
Experimental pilot plant studies under controlled conditions in which NO3-N concentrations ranging from 0.5 to 120 mg/liter were added to influent synthetic waste water; data were collected from measurements of light intensity, pH, temperature, biochemical oxygen, algal population densities, surface tension, and oxidation-reduction potentials; information may be used in stream sanitation and operation and design of stabilization ponds.
