Behavior of experimental continuously-reinforced concrete pavements in Mississippi
Performance of first two continuously-reinforced concrete pavements designed as experimental sections and observed by University of Mississippi Engineering Station is described; pavements contain several design features that are relatively new in this type of construction; design features and construction methods used for both pavements are outlined; longitudinal movements of pavement and crack width changes were measured periodically; crack surveys were performed particularly in early weeks after construction; data on end movements, crack widths, crack frequency, and methods used for obtaining data are discussed.
