Evaluation of cohesiometer test for asphaltic concrete
Special study was carried out to determine whether cohesiometer test results are significantly related to factors known to affect performance of asphaltic concrete, to modify equipment or procedure if necessary, and to evaluate test for use in parent project; investigation reported is supporting study to larger project concerned with modification of AASHO (American Assn State Highway Officials) Road Test findings for use under conditions found in Texas; cohesiometer used by and available to Texas Highway Dept was modified slightly and load-deflection recorder was attached to unit.
