Revision of calculation of arbitrarily loaded shells of revolution of any form; such revision is of particular importance when calculation method is based on approximating of finite differences; aim of study is to derive general equations validating shell calculation, based on conditions for overall equilibrium of shell that must be satisfied; application of equations is shown in example of hyperbolical cooling tower subjected to wind loads.
