Carbonation of concrete; in stored in open concrete, CO2 of air reacts with hydratation products of cement; in carbonated zone of concrete, passivation of reinforcing steel surface may be neutralized; in concretes and mortars of different composition, authors have studied progress of carbonation under clearly defined conditions; it was found that progress of carbonation is mainly function of age, composition and storage conditions of concrete; moreover, they studied variations caused by carbonation of properties of concrete.
