Investigation of load capacity of steel-mesh reinforced concrete columns; 65 columns specimens without longitudinal reinforcement were tested; influences of cross sectional parameters, strength of concrete, and of reinforcement pattern on carrying capacity were investigated; in all tests, net reinforcement led to appreciable increase of load-carrying capacity, which could be expressed quantitatively by means of formula; with low strength concretes and high proportion of reinforcement, carrying capacity of plane concrete columns could be doubled by use of net reinforcement.
