Waste-gas chimney of 43.8 m overall height and 2.5 m diam is screwed to steel framework at height of 12 m; unsupported part of 33.5 m length is composed of 5 sections that were wound from fiber glass reinforced polyester resin, to wall thicknesses of between 20 and 10 mm, on winding machine; during design wind pressure and vibrational behavior were taken into consideration, and after assembly forces and moments set up were determined by means of strain gates.
