Construction and testing of one-eighth scale model of prestressed concrete pressure vessels for Oldbury Nuclear Station in Great Britain; it is considered that project represents first fully instrumented test carried out on this type of structure, giving detailed picture of behavior under operating loads; close agreement between measured and predicted strains under these conditions justifies conclusion that method of elastic analysis which has been developed gives practical method of design assessment.
