Determination of ferrous oxide in rocks and minerals
New method consists in introduction of hydrocarbons as means of protecting reacting mixture from oxidation; experiments show that decomposition of silicates under protective layer goes on without any complications; no undesirable products of reaction of hydrocarbons with acids, which would be harmful during process of titration, were detected during experiments.
