Results of tests made at Massachusetts Institute of Technology yielding new data on shear resistance, strength and absorption of blocks used in so-called unit and joist floor system; load deformation diagram for 6 × 12 in. cylinders of four different kinds of concrete; typical shear failure in specimen consisting of pre-cast units with poured concrete ribs on both sides.
