Stresses in uniformly loaded two-layer circular plate
Exact solution is derived for stresses in uniformly loaded " simply supported" circular plate, composed of two dissimilar layers of isotropic, elastic materials; large errors in bending stresses predicted by classical thin plate theory occur when loaded layer has much smaller shear modulus than underlying layer.
