Factors influencing oxidation of iron during firing of ground-coat enamels
Oxidation of iron beneath ground coat enamel measured by recording progressive weight change with sensitive balance on heating specimen from room temperature to 1550 F and correcting for volatile constituents; permeability of dry, unfired enamel films correlated with variables characteristic of ground coat enamel slips; results discussed.
