Construction of 20 concrete silos at Des Moines plant of Marquette Cement Mfg Co during winter weather was accomplished by placing gasoline driven fan heaters on sliding forms, with hot air directed inside canvas enclosure by Masonite ducts; although outside temperatures were near 0 F, it was never below 45 F under canvas protection.
