Deposit is about 17 mi southeast from Norris; corundum-bearing dikes are in Archean metamorphic rocks, for most part hornblende mica schist and quartzite, intruded by numerous pegmatite dikes, some of which contain corundum and sillimanite; 10 mi road construction; establishment of camp; trenching, driving adit and winze, and taking of 46 channel samples.
