History of exploration of Poirier copper-zinc deposits of Quebec is traced from original detection by means of airborne electromagnetic survey in 1959 to start of underground development in 1963; conclusions and recommendations are made for proper conduct of mineral exploration program in light of conflicting and indefinite geophysical and geological evidence.
