Plant in Lucerne Valley of southwestern California has planned capacity of 200 tpd of lime products; high-quality stone is burned to lime in Fluo-Radiation kiln; another fluidizing unit, Fluo-Hydrator, produces lime hydrate by continuous process; chief products are hydrated lime for use in building materials, quicklime and high calcium hydrated lime; stone for asphalt and vinyl tile fillers, stucco sand, roofing granules, and poultry feeds are also made; company has developed new form of quicklime for compaction into briquets to serve as fluxing agent for open hearth steel processing.
