Uplift resistance of guy anchor plates
Full scale tests are reported on guy anchor plates, in which depth, slope, circumference, and area of plate and slope of uplift force, were varied systematically; effect of compacted backfill, size of pit, time between installation and uplift, and rate of loading, were also studied; mathematical model is proposed, expressing relationship between uplift force and above mentioned variables, with simplified equation for practical use.
