Computer model for lock manifold system
Unsteady flow equations governing flow in 20 port lock manifold system are solved by arithmetic integration using digital computer; if head loss coefficients of component parts of system are known, program may be used to determine lock filling times and flow distribution in manifold system; it therefore permits detailed and rapid investigation of possible variations in system at small expense and should be useful in preliminary design investigations.
