Analysis of tunnel liner-packing systems
Method is presented for analyzing mine tunnel liner-packing systems subjected to transient dynamic loading; lumped parameter model of continuous system has been formulated in which inelastic behavior of constituents is permitted; equations of motion for model are derived and solved by β-method of integration; displacements and deformations of model are determined by summation of piece-wise "small" displacements; solution obtained was tested for stability and convergence through variations in system parameters.
