Yield line analysis of folded plate structures
Method is presented for determining collapse loading and associated displacement pattern for simply supported, prismatic, reinforced concrete, folded plate structure using methods of limit analysis; displacement patterns consist of appropriate combinations of transverse, longitudinal, and diagonal bending together with longitudinal extension and contraction; computer program for numerical solution of controlling equations is used to solve three examples involving loading of three structures; comparison is made of reported test results and computer solutions.
