Effect of grain size on susceptibility of 18/8 steels to intercrystalline corrosion
Intercrystalline corrosion tests were made after quenching four samples of 18/8 steel (two with Ti, two without) from 1250, 1050, and 1250 plus 1050 C; in quenched 18/8 type steels with and without titanium, grain size has practically no influence on susceptibility to intercrystalline corrosion resulting from holding in critical temperature range. (English translation of Zashchita Metallov) (17083)
