Experiments on speech characteristics of human subjects under mental stress; spectrograms of test phrases made under relaxed and under stressed conditions show character of changes in acoustic speech signal caused by stress, mostly modifications of amplitude, frequency and detailed waveform of glottal pulses; other changes result from differences in articulation; consistent effects noted among various subjects.
