Linear changes of refractory slate clays on firing up to 1100°
Four slate clays were studied; clays were wet ball-milled to pass DIN No. 0.088 sieve; throughout experiments, heating was at uniform rate of 5 C per min; all four thermal analysis curves had minimum at 580 to 600 C and maximum at 940 to 960 C. Brief English abstract from Ber Deutsche Keramische Gesellschaft v 24 1943 p 351-64. (Ceramic Abstracts sec)
