Rational dimensioning of fresh-air and exhaust-air channels for street tunnel ventilation
Differential equations for pressure distribution along fresh-air and exhaust-air ducts are derived, taking into consideration influence of cross section changes and wall friction; assuming constant temperature, pressure, and flow rate along ducts, optimum duct profiles are calculated which result in minimum costs of construction for given required output.
