Model tests of two kinds, including sectional tests to provide basic aerodynamic data, and complete aeroelastic model which is so constructed that it reproduces in wind oscillatory behavior of full-scale prototype are described by reference to number of structures which were subject of investigation at National Physical Laboratory; discussion includes stability of members of circular cross-section and of polygonal section; aerodynamic behavior of lattice structures, etc.
