Significant visual properties of some fluorescent pigments
Study compares daylight visibility properties of fluorescent and conventional pigments; variations of daylight energy distribution under clear and overcast sky conditions, representative solar altitudes, and cardinal directions were considered; two fluorescent and four conventional high visibility pigments were viewed against representative backgrounds; it was found that fluorescent pigments show substantial improvement as illumination levels decrease or when target situation is least advantageous.
