Experimental study of fatigue effects on behavior of reinforced concrete beams
Deformation characteristics under usual conditions and effects of fatigue on ultimate strength were investigated; for types of concrete used in tests, fatigue strength under compressive forces was equal to about 0.6 of compressive strength; fatigue strength of beams failing by concrete deficiency was same as in former case, while that of beams failing by steel deficiency was equal to 0.9 of ultimate static moment; fatigue effects on deformations under usual conditions depend on beam type, stresses, and number of vibrations; after 5 million vibrations, increase of deformation characteristics was nearly 35%.
