Test road constructed by Oklahoma Highway Dept to ascertain effects of adding short asbestos fiber to asphaltic concrete pavement is designed for early failure; entire project consists of 5.3 mi of asphaltic concrete surface on sand asphalt base; 4800 ft test section consisting of 16 different test panels 300 ft long and 24 ft wide of varying thicknesses and mix designs were constructed under supervision of Research and Development Div,; details on materials and test procedures.
