Simplified method is proposed for designing bulkheads freely supported at top and totally fixed at other end; equations are derived for soil and water pressure as well as fixed end moment; nomograms and table of equation's coefficient values are given which enable quick determination of depth of embedment; method' s application is shown in examples.
