Mode of formation of composite dikes
Genesis of composite dikes in Chet district, central Kazakhstan, was interpreted in field by discovery that outer microdiorite components on one composite dike are separate, independent traceable units confined to same fissure but somewhat noncontemporaneous; central component consisting of granodiorite porphyry was probably later intruded along junction of two contiguous microdiorite dikes during repeated opening of fracture.
