Clearwater Tissue Mills project at Lewiston, Idaho, includes 173-in. fourdrinier-Yankee machine and three converting lines which feed common case sealing line; one of interesting features is use of wood in building divided into 60×180-ft machine room and 120× 340-ft converting room; latter is designed with "bow-string" construction and contains no supporting columns in its 120-ft width; curved roof consists of laminated wood bow-string members, supported by 20 ft high laminated wood columns; machine room building is constructed of wood sheathing on steel framework.
