Design considerations and construction aspects involved in erection of office building for Bacardi Imports, Inc, Miami, Fla; building surmounts underground parking garage, roof of which serves as plaza, and is also floor of glass-enclosed display area; six upper floors are suspended from four stilt-like columns by post-tensioned trusses on top; 14×30-in. columns were cast of high strength concrete and reinforced with A-432 steel bars; service tower which stands free of structure, connects all floors with garage; main vertical truss member, which is under tension, is formed by two 6×1 3/4 in. steel plates.
