Redox behaviour of iron in hydroxylated silicates
Oxidation and reduction of clay minerals, particularly chamosite and nontronite, are compared with those of amphibole crocidolite; oxidation is very similar; differences in behavior on reduction are interpreted in terms of different environments of oxygen atoms in various structures; mechanisms of various processes.
