Dielectric strength of porcelain: Influence of firing temperature
Paper completes work previously reported by MONACK and SHARDLOW (see Engineering Index 1931 p 452); additional puncture voltages in kv per 1/4-in. thickness were cone 13,60; cone 14, 69.5; cone 15, 67; puncture voltage increased gradually between cones 9 and 15; other conditions remaining identical, it was shown that most uniform body resulted when fired to cone 9.
