Interpretation of rock test results for design of structures
Special features and interpretation of results of tests carried out on weathered and fissured rocks, particularly wide variations between results; other factors which lead to variations in properties of rocks are classified, including time effects; criteria are established which enable engineer to select appropriate designs, and to assess range of coefficients of elasticity and deformability of rock which will apply during life of structure.
